    Zubeen Garg Appeals To People To Stay At Home Amid COVID-19 Scare

    Zubeen Garg urged the people to not panic, spread or believe in rumours related to coronavirus

    Assam’s heartthrob and singing sensation Zubeen Garg on March 21st, 2020 appealed the people to stay at their homes and avoid large gatherings in the wake of the threat posed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

    “Be with your family, read books, watch some films, complete your unfinished sleep, take rest, learn to play some new songs. You staying home will break the chain of the virus and strengthen the chain of bonding in your family,” Zubeen wrote on Facebook.

    The singer also urged the people to not panic, spread or believe in rumours related to coronavirus. Zubeen also advised using masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizers to contain the spread of coronavirus.

    “If you can’t find any sanitizer, constantly wash your hands with soap and water. Avoid mass gatherings such as parties, meetings, shopping malls etc. Maintain a distance of 1 meter (3 feet) from anyone around you,” the singer further wrote.

    He also requested to visit a doctor is one experiences high fever, cough, running nose, respiratory problem.

    “If you have any travel history in last one month outside your locality (not necessarily abroad, but anywhere where positive cases have been confirmed) then report to the health officials. Do not shake hands or make any physical contact. If someone is sneezing near you, go away. Once you safe yourself, make others aware of the disease and the instructions to follow,” Zubeen shared.

    The singer was recently hospitalised after he fell unconscious amid an event in Guwahati. The singer almost collapsed during a music launch event at Gauhati Town Club on the evening of February 28th, 2020, but other attendees of the event came to his rescue.
