    Youth’s Body Found Buried In His Own Home In Dhing

    The irked mob also vandalised the house of the accused

    The body of a youth who was missing for the last one month was found buried in his own house at Lahkar in Dhing, Nagaon on September 20th, 2019. The deceased has been identified as Bitupan Das.

    The incident has triggered a sensation in the area. As per reports, Das’ mother and brother-in-law are suspected to be behind the killing. The irked mob also vandalised the house of the accused. Later, Dhing police picked up the accused mother and sister of the deceased for interrogation.

    “She (mother of the deceased) repeatedly lied to us whenever we asked her about Bitupan for last one month. She told us that Bitupan went outside Assam and will not return,” one of the locals said.

    The locals claimed to spot the body buried in the backyard of the house.

    As per information, Bitupan often asked his mother not to continue with the liquor business which led to heated arguments between them. As per information, the brother-in-law Kishor Kumar Deka, who hails from lower Assam’s Rangia, is a TET teacher.
