After giving a power-packed performance at the Hornbill festival in Kisama, the quartet of sisters from Nagaland are here with their soulful rendition of a Christmas mashup song and we bet you are going to be gripped in the festivities ahead of the celebrations.
The iconic Naga folk group has this time made a mashup of two Christmas Carols – ‘Rocking Around the Christmas Tree’ and ‘Jingle Bell Rock’–“Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”. The 3.54-minute video released on YouTube on December 21st, 2019 has already garnered humongous positive response and congratulatory messages have started pouring in from all quarters.
“The world is in shambles but we still have a reason to celebrate because our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was born to save us. And He is the reason we can rock around the Christmas tree and ring the Jingle bells,” they wrote on Instagram sharing a sneak peek of the video.
The song ‘Rocking Around the Christmas Tree’ is a Christmas song written by Johnny Marks and recorded by Brenda Lee in 1958. On the other hand ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ is an American popular Christmas song first released by Bobby Helms in 1957. It was composed by Joseph Carleton Beal (1900–1967) and James Ross Boothe (1917–1976).
