The video of the song was released on her YouTube channel in the first week of September 2019. In a freewheeling chat with Time8, Tanvi talks on friendship, love, fashion and finding her place. Read on.
Tell us about the song
I love the song ‘Teri Ban Jaungi’. My friends encouraged me to record the cover. So when I was in Guwahati, I thought of recording the song. Believe it or not, it took me only 30 minutes to record the song.
I used to join my brother during the jamming sessions of his band. I enjoy karaoke sessions. May be, all these helped me to record the song at one go. The video of the song has been directed by Jitu Barman and the track has been produced by Himangshu.
Journey till now
The film industry is a place where you learn and grow as a person. It’s not necessary that the journey has to be all nice and flowery. Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. The film industry is like a school for me. I have learnt, failed, succeeded, grew as a person.
I have faced heartbreaks in love and career. Both are hard to deal with. I firmly believe that without failures there’s no joy of success be it in love or in career. I have learnt to take failures in my stride and keep going.
An actor, dancer or singer?
I enjoy every bit of being an actor, dancer and singer. But dancing is my lifeline. I cannot live without dancing.
I am an early riser; a morning person. My day kick-offs with a good breakfast followed by the household chores. Music and dance is part of my daily schedule.
Foodie or fitness freak?
I am not a foodie. I am a balanced person when it comes to eating food. I can’t say that I am a fitness freak but I make sure to workout daily for atleast an hour. It’s important to remain fit.
Fashion tips, please!
Fashion to me is an extension of your persona. Wear anything which reflects your personality and at the same time, makes you feel comfortable.
