    Two Manipur Youths Netted With 18.5 KG Gold In Karbi Anglong

    The gold biscuits were hidden inside the chassis of the car

    The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence(DRI) sleuths on November 13th, 2019 arrested two youths following a massive haul of gold biscuits at Manja of Assam’s Karbi Anglong. More than 100 gold biscuits weighing about 18.5 kilograms were seized.

    The youths, Md Tari Mansur and Md Iqbal Hussain were arrested by DRI while the duo was on their way towards Guwahati from Imphal. The car was intercepted in between and the gold biscuits were seized.

    Acting on a tip-off, DRI sleuths in cooperation with Manja Police carried out a search in an Eco Sports car and found the gold biscuits hidden inside the chassis of the car.
