This Is The Victory Of Every Delhiite: Arvind Kejriwal After Oath

The alumni of IIT Kharagpur said that he and his party will continue to work for everyone, irrespective of any religion, caste or political affiliation

Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and national convener, was sworn in on February 16th, 2020 as Delhi chief minister for the third time at Ramlila Maidan.

President Ram Nath Kovind had on February 14th, 2020 appointed him as the new chief minister of Delhi. The AAP swept the Delhi assembly elections by winning 62 out 70 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party won eight seats while the Congress drew a blank.

Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Rajendra Pal Gautam and Imran Hussain also took oath as ministers of Kejriwal Cabinet. Kejriwal’s new cabinet does not have a single woman despite eight of its women candidates winning the election.

“Your son has taken oath for the third time as Delhi chief minister. This is not my win, this is the victory of every Delhiite. his is the victory of every family in Delhi. I’m the chief minister of Delhi and not AAP, BJP or any other political party,” Kejriwal said at the swearing-in ceremony.

Kejriwal said that though he had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the swearing-in ceremony but couldn’t attend as he is bust in some other event. “Through this platform, I want to seek blessings from Prime Minister ji and Centre to develop Delhi and take it forward. I want to work by taking everyone together,” he added.

The alumni of IIT Kharagpur said that he and his party will continue to work for everyone, irrespective of any religion, caste or political affiliation. “The whole of Delhi is my family. I will work for everyone. We forgive our opponents for whatever remarks they made during the poll campaign,” Kejriwal said.

Responding to the criticism he has received for winning an election based on freebies, Kejriwal said, “Nature has ensured every valuable thing in the world is free, be it Mother’s love, father’s blessings or Shravan Kumar’s dedication. So, Kejriwal loves his people and hence this love is free The world will soon hail India.”

Kejriwal had invited 50 people from different walks of life who has contributed in Delhi’s development. Pegged as ‘Delhi ke Nirmata’ (Makers of Delhi), Kejriwal said these people have made Delhi what it is and will strive to keep taking Delhi forward.

‘Mini Mufflerman’ Avyaan Tomar was too present at the oath taking ceremony. He took Twitter by storm after was spotted at the AAP office dressed ditto like Kejriwal – an AAP cap, a maroon pullover, a spectacle a painted-on moustache and, of course, the signature muffler.
