Students March In Delhi Demanding Solution To Naga Crisis

The rally was organized amid apprehension after abrogation of the Article 370 of the Indian Constitution

Thousands of Nagas held a rally in New Delhi on September 25th, 2019 to demand the Centre implement the Framework Agreement signed with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM)  in 2015.

The protesters, led by the Naga Student Federation (NSF), rallied from Mandi House to Parliament Street and also displayed the ‘Naga National Flag’ used by some Naga outfits. Members of the Naga Students’ Union, Delhi and students’ groups from Manipur also participated in the rally.

“We demand an early Naga solution which is being dragged for so long. Our demand is that in the final solution of the Naga’s, the principle of the framework agreement signed between Government of India and the NSCN-IM should be the guiding principle,” one of the students said.

“We are hopeful that the Government of India would understand Nagas aspiration,” he further added.
