    SRK, Salman To Give Filmfare Awards A Miss. Check Out The Stars Coming To Guwahati

    This is the first time in its history that the Filmfare Awards will be held outside Mumbai

    The countdown has begun for the glitzy and glamorous Filmfare Awards event to be held in Guwahati on February 15th, 2020

    However, in a major disappointment, the biggies of the Bollywood like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are going to give the 65th Filmfare Awards a miss. This is the first time in its history that the Filmfare Awards will be held outside Mumbai.

    Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar, Karthik Aryan, Rajkumar Rao, Sidhant Chaturvedi, Ali Fazal, Manish Paul, Sooraj Pancholi, Ayushmann Khurana, Sujoy Ghosh, Anubhav Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Bhumi Pednekar, Tapsee Pannu, Jhanvi Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Pooja Hegde, Sunny Leone, Radhika Apte, Ananya Panday and Richa Chadha have confirmed to join the Filmfare Awards ceremony in Guwahati.

    The current heartthrob of the tinsel town Vicky and celebrity film director Johar are likely to host the much-awaited 65th Filmfare Awards.

    The Assam Tourism Development Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Times Group to organize the awards show in Guwahati. 50 per cent of the revenue collected from the sale of tickets for the show would be given to the Chief Minister’s relief fund.

    The Filmfare Awards will be held at the Sarusajai Stadium on February 15th, 2020. The venue will have a capacity of holding 10,000 audiences.

    Altogether 115 artistes from Assam are all set to enthral the crowd showcasing the rich and vibrant cultural heritage of Assam during the special 12-minute slot allotted for them at the upcoming 65th Filmfare Awards in Guwahati.

    While 35 dancers will perform the Sattriya dance choreographed by prominent exponents of the classical dance form Jatin Goswami, the Bihu and fusion tribal dance will be performed by 40 artistes each designed by Ranjit Gogoi, acclaimed cultural ambassador of Assam.
