    Oman Football Federation VP Charmed With Friendliness Of Assam

    India lost their opening Group E match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Oman

    Oman Football Federation and Gulf Countries Football Federation Vice President, Dr Jasim Mohd.Al Shekail expressing his desire to visit the sprawling city of Guwahati in near future said that he is enthralled with the warmth and friendliness of the people of Assam.

    “We want to thank everyone for everything. We felt we were in our own country, people are so friendly here, everything is perfect,” said Shekail sharing his and the Oman Football Team’s experience in the city.

    He further added, “So ‘Shukram’ for all the arrangements. I hope to see everyone again and wish to come here as a visitor next time with my family,”.

    It may be mentioned that Assam Football Association on September 5th, 2019 hosted the first qualifier match of 2022 FIFA World Cup at the Sarusajai stadium, Guwahati. India lost their opening Group E match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup Joint-Qualifiers against Oman.

    Rabia Alawi Al Mandhar stole the thunder of Sunil Chhetri’s 24th-minute strike by scored two goals.

    Now, India will travel to Doha for their next FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifier on September 10th, 2019 with Afghanistan and Bangladesh to face Qatar.
