    Non-Subsidised LPG Gets Expensive From Today. Deets Inside

    The LPG cylinders were hiked for the fifth month in a row which came into effect on January 1st, 2020

    The prices of the LPG(liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders were hiked for the fifth month in a row which came into effect on January 1st, 2020.

    The LPG rates have now been revised to Rs 714 in the national capital and Rs 684.50 per cylinder in Mumbai. In Kolkata and Chennai, the prices have been hiked by Rs 21.5 and Rs 20 per cylinder to Rs 747 and Rs 734 respectively.

    It may be mentioned that the government of India revises the prices of the LPG every month based on international benchmark rates and the foreign exchange rates. In Guwahati, the prices of the LPG stood at Rs 744.50.

    Last month, the prices of the LPG stood at Rs 695 in Delhi according to the official website of Indian Oil.

    It may be mentioned that 12 cylinders of 14.2 kilograms per household are subsidised every year. In order to make an additional purchase, the consumer needs to purchase at the market price. The subsidy amount also varies every month.
