    Weather Update: Heavy Rainfall To Lash Northeast In Next Four Days

    Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning predicted at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura

    The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over the eight northeastern states by September 15th, 2019 bringing much respite from the scorching heat.

    The IMD forecasted that heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Sikkim and heavy rainfall at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Saurashtra & Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa.

    Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning also predicted at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha.

    “Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over southwest and West Central the Arabian Sea. Squally weather condition is likely to prevail over Gujarat Region. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas,” the All India Weather Warning Bulletin stated.
