    Jorhat Doctor Dies In Road Accident In Sivasagar

    The deceased was a post-graduate student of Jorhat Medical College and hailed from Jorhat district of Assam

    A doctor was killed and another person sustained injuries when a dumper truck hit the car which they were driving in eastern Assam’s Sivasagar district in wee hours of November 10th, 2019.

    The deceased has been identified as Dr Pratyush Kujan Kaushik and the injured has been identified as Ranjan Borthakur. The accident took place at Charing Duarpar when the Maruti Zen car in which the victims were travelling collided with the speeding truck coming from the opposite direction along the National Highway 37.

    Dr Kaushik was a post-graduate student of the Jorhat Medical College and hailed from Jorhat district of Assam. Borthakur is undergoing treatment at the Dibrugarh Medical College and Hospital, as per information available.

    As per reports, the victims were returning from Sivasagar to Jorhat when the fatal accident took occurred. A pall of gloom has descended on the region.
