    Family Appeals For Help In Tracing ‘Missing’ Guwahati Girl Priyanka Jain In Himachal

    Rescue operations are going on in full swing to trace the 'missing' Guwahati girl in the Parvati river

    The family members and well-wishers of 26-year-old Priyanka Jain who slipped and fell in the Parvati river in Kasol, Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh are appealing prominent personalities and leaders to spread the message to trace her back.

    Priyanka’s brother Rounak Jain on October 19th, 2019 took to Twitter and wrote, “My sister Priyanka has been missing in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh. She went missing in Parvati River. She was last seen on October 16th. We are from Assam. Please help us!.” He tagged Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and also Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet.

    Her other family members have also appealed Prime Minister Modi, Sonowal to come forward in helping them to find Priyanka.

    Meanwhile, Additional Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh, Sanjeev Gupta on October 19th, 2019 took to Twitter and asserted that rescue operation is going on trace Priyanka in the Parvati river. He mentioned that the entire district administration is trying to trace her. “Drone is being used and the downstream area has been alerted,” he tweeted.

    It may be mentioned, Priyanka and another girl Komal (24) of Darjeeling, West Bengal were having fun and taking a selfie on the bank of the Parvati River in Kasol of Manikarn Valley when both slipped and fell into the river. However, Komal was rescued by the locals but Priyanka went missing.
