Assam Minister for Agriculture and Veterinary, Atul Bora will have a special appearance in a highly-anticipated Assamese feature film which is slated to start it’s shooting next year.
The Asom Gana Parishad leader will star in popular film director from Assam Biswajeet Bora’s latest movie Lakhimi. Bora will enact the role of a minister in the film. The movie which will be produced under the banner of Maina Productions will be shot at the picturesque locations in Golaghat district and several other scenic parts of the state.
Apart from the Agriculture Minister, director cum producer, Nurul Sultan will also play a character in the movie. The other cast includes Arun Hazarika, Gitartha Bora, Prithiraj Rabha, Arun Bora and several other known faces from Jollywood.
“I will play a minister’s character in the movie. The director requested me to play the character and after going through the script, I accepted the offer. I assume that it will not be difficult to enact the role as I could relate with the dialogues,” said Bora while speaking with the media persons.
“I love acting and this is not the first time that I will appear on the screen.I have acted in a number of plays and serials before,” added Bora.
The movie will be produced by Mahesh Sirla and Ashim Saikia. Achurjya Borpatragohain and Nayanmani Barman will score the music. The director shared that a number of real-life journalists will also feature in the movie. The protagonist of the story will be played by an Assamese-American Miss Lobha.
