Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to ensure that the gains of the lockdown are not squandered away, the lockdown guidelines must be observed strictly till May 3rd, 2020 and new guidelines to fight novel coronavirus (COVID-19) will come into effect from May 4th, 2020.
The MHA in a statement said that it noted that there have been “tremendous” gains and improvement in the situation because of the lockdown. New guidelines to fight COVID-19 will come into effect from May 4th, 2020 which would give considerable relaxations to many districts.
“Details regarding this would be communicated in the days to come”, it added.
It was reported that there might be an extension in the ongoing nationwide lockdown in the country beyond May 3rd, 2020 but there might also be considerable relaxations.
However, the MHA has maintained that the nation will need to maintain the current guidelines strictly till May 3rd, 2020.
As of now, there are 33,050 confirmed cases in India with 8,325 recovered and 1,074 deaths.
