Acting on a tip-off, the troops of 5^th Garhwal Army along with the Chirang police jointly conducted a search operation at Khuti area near the Bihur river under Runikata PS and nabbed a hardcore cadre of the outlawed NDFB-S on September 8^th, 2019.

The arrestee has been identified as Kamakhya Daimary, resident of Borokursakati PS, Kokrajhar district. He was of 44^th batch of NDFB(RD) and later joined NDFB-S in 2014.

The police informed that the cadre is a wanted criminal in NIA case no RC-01/2015/NIA-GUW. He had escaped police custody from NIA court in Guwahati in 2018.

Meanwhile, a separate case vide Runikata PS case no 53/19 Under Section 120(B)/121/121A/122 IPC R/W Sec 25(1-B) Arms Act R/W Sec 10/13 UA(P) Act has been registered against him.

He will be produced before the court today.
