After a successful first edition of ‘Meghalaya Baby League’, the Meghalaya Football Association (MFA) is back again with its second edition that will kick-start from September 14th, 2019 at Tura in West Garo Hills district. The tournament will be held on every Saturday and holidays.
The football baby league is an initiative by the MFA in collaboration with the District Football Association, Tura. “Baby League!!! It’s all happening in Tura for the first time ever. Categories are U6, U8, U10, U11 & U12. Come and support the future stars. Tournament starting from 14th September and every Saturday & holidays,” wrote the District Football Association, Tura on Facebook.

This year, the theme of the tournament is ‘Play, Learn, Perform’. It will be organised in association with the Meghalaya Government at the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Playground, Tura.
The name of the six teams are – Bosco Hornbills, Chipakkore FC Dolphins, Sherwood School Tigers, Modynagar SCC Wolves, BBFS-WI Dragons and Ka’Grak Dobasipara Leopards.
The selection process for the tournament will be based on the teams fulfilling the criteria of MFA Baby League 2019. Also, an interview will be conducted for the selection process by the members of the Baby League team.
