After snacking on the delicious knick-knacks, Sarma interacting with media persons said, “Raas Mahotsav holds a special place in my heart. In my childhood days, whenever I came to watch a Raas festival, I used to gorge on snacks. Today, nothing has changed. I still taste a little bit of all the snacks and satisfy my taste buds.”
“The preparation made for North Guwahati Raas Mahotsav is appreciative and I am happy that I am accompanied by MP Pallab Lochan Das,” Sarma added.
Both the ministers were also seen clicking selfies with the people and enjoying the performances.
It may be mentioned, the historic North Guwahati Raas Mahotsav has been going on since the last 78 years. This year lakhs of people are here to witness the festival and the centre of attraction is a 60-foot idol of God Hanuman.
