Dhing Express Hima Das going down to her memory lane said that once upon a time she “wrote” the name of international sportswear brand Adidas on her cheap shoes right on her first national competition.

The Indian sprinter stated this during an Instagram chat with Indian cricketer Suresh Raina. But what is more interesting now that the sprinter who once wrote Adidas on her cheap shows is now herself sponsored by the brand with her name written on the shoes.

She added that in the initial period when she started running, she used to run barefooted and on her first competition, her father had bought a pair of spiked running shoes for her.

“On those shoes, I wrote Adidas with my hands and you never know where fate takes you. Adidas is now making shoes with my name on them”, she added.

Hima added that Sachin Tendulkar is her role model and further on meeting him for the first time, she started to cry. Tendulkar later consoled her.

She added that meeting the cricked legend for the first time was a moment that she will never forget.

She further during the conversation revealed that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was her favourite franchise in the Indian Premier League because of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina.

She during her conversation with the cricketer asked him to visit and explore the beauty of Assam.

Suresh Raina during the conversation said that Hima is a “role model” for all the girls.
