    Guwahati Boils As Mercury Soars To Record 39.2°C

    Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India and South-East Asia, reeled under heatwave conditions on August 7th, 2019. Breaking all records, the maximum temperature in Guwahati touched maximum 39.2 degree Celsius, equaling the all-time high recorded on June 12th, 2013.

    According to the Borjhar-based Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Guwahati is followed by Silchar (37.9° C), North Lakhimpur (37.6° C), Tezpur (37° C), Jorhat (36.8° C), Dibrugarh (36.6° C), Golaghat (36° C), Tinsukia (35° C) and Dhubri (32.3° C) on August 7th, 2019.
