With the strong motivation to serve the society better, Arunachal Pradesh is writing a new chapter in policing by self-disciplining themselves and by taking the resolution to stay fit and healthy.
R P Upadhyaya, Director General of Police (DGP), Arunachal Pradesh has appealed all the personnel to follow the fitness mantra and actively participate in the physical training sessions. The DGP also tweeted photographs of personnel sweating it out at the ground.
“Only a fit police person can deliver quality public service to people. Besides the regular PT sessions, medical check-ups are held for police personnel of all ranks to ensure they are fit and ready to serve. Some glimpses of police medical camps – Aalo, Pangin, Tawang and Likhabali,” the DGP tweeted.
Upadhyaya also holds the view that physical training sessions are a must for police personnel to stay fit and healthy which will help them in acting quick.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Fit India Movement on August 29th, 2019 to encourage people to inculcate physical activity and sports in their day-to-day lives.
Launching the movement, Modi had said that India should address its health woes like many other countries are currently doing. He also said, “The time is act now to remain oneself fit and rather than speaking about fitness, we should actually do it.”
