    Fresh COVID-19 Case Reported In Goalpara, Assam Tally Climbs To 37

    The patient from Goalpara is a secondary contact of an attendee of the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Delhi’s Nizamuddin Markaz

    In less than four hours, another person from Goalpara district has tested positive for novel coronavirus on April 28th, 2020.

    The patient is a secondary contact of an attendee of the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Delhi’s Nizamuddin Markaz.

    With this, Assam has registered 37 COVID-19 positive cases of which 27 have been discharged and one patient has died. There are nine active COVID-19 cases at present in the State.

    At 12:20 pm Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had tweeted that a 16-year-old girl from Bongaigaon district of Assam has tested positive for COVID-19.

    She too is a secondary contact of a Markaz attendee. The teenage girl hails from Manikpur Salmara.
