    Four Girls Arrested In Guwahati For Submitting Fake HSLC Certificates

    The four of them had submitted fake HSLC certificates to get admission at Kamrup Academy College

    The Chandmari police on September 27th, 2019 arrested four girls on charges of submitting fake HSLC certificates during their admission at Kamrup Academy College. An FIR was lodged by the college authority based on which the police launched an investigation.

    As per reports, the accused girls were asked to produce the original HSLC marksheet along with their pass certificates for their Higher Secondary first year admission into the college. After they could not furnish the certificates the college authorities raised a suspicion with their submitted documents and contacted their school. It was later informed that the four of them did not clear their HSLC examination.

    A case no 1274 /19 under sections 406, 420 and 468 of the IPC was subsequently lodged with the police and the four of them were called for interrogation. The police confirmed that the documents were fake.

    Out of the four girls, three are said to be minors and have been sent to Boko Shelter home as directed by the court, the other one has been sent to the judicial custody.

    Further investigations are on in the matter.
