Former PWD minister of Tripura, Badal Choudhury was on August 22nd, 2019 grilled by a team of Vigilance over the infrastructural works.
Speaking to reporters, Choudhury said, the vigilance team had summoned him to know more about the infrastructural works which were done by the Left Front government in 2008 and to clarify their doubts.
“I have asked the officials whether I have been summoned here as a witness or an accused person. But they have informed me that they wanted to ask me some questions regarding some infrastructural development works in the state taken by the Left Front government in 2008”, he said.
He also said all the infrastructures built during the period of 2008 to 2018 are superior quality and that it will remain the same for at least 100 years. “We have built roads for all the remotes villages with metal roads and connectivity. The vigilance did not ask me about any specific amount of the works but they wanted to know some details about the decision which we had taken for PWD works,” he added.
