    Delhi Poll Results: AAP All Set To Retain Power

    As many as 21 centres for counting of votes have been set up in Delhi

    Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is likely to retain power in the national capital for the third consecutive term.

    As per the latest election trends, the AAP is ahead on 57 seats while the BJP is lagging behind at 13 seats. Congress failed to open its account.

    AAP workers and supporters started celebrating another Arvind Kejriwal chief ministership in Delhi. Kejriwal asked AAP volunteers not to burst firecrackers during victory celebrations to prevent air pollution. 2,600 counting staff, are involved in the counting of votes at 21 locations in 11 districts.

    Outside the AAP’s headquarters in Delhi, workers could be seen putting up banners and posters. Slogans of ‘ Achhe honge agle paanch saal’, Bharat Mata ki Jai‘ and ‘Arvind Kejriwal ki Jai‘ could be heard outside the office.

    As many as 21 centres for counting of votes have been set up in Delhi. As per the Election Commission of India (ECI), the voter turnout for Delhi Assembly elections held on February 8th, 2020 was 62.59 per cent.
