An SI has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol in Dhemaji on August 30th, 2019.
The deceased ASI Nipon Nath was posted at the Sissiborgaon Police Station. He hailed from Rangiya in Kamrup district. Nath had joined the state police force in 2017.
The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
