Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on November 20th, 2019 officially started the construction works of the new Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) headquarter in Guwahati’s Basistha.
The works started through a ceremonial program attended by state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Kokrajhar MP Naba Kumra Sarania, Dispur legislator Atul Bora, Bokajan MLA Numal Momin and other party leaders.
“We are happy that the construction works have officially started today. Amit Shah ji had laid the foundation stone earlier this year and wanted that the construction works to be completed within the stipulated timeframe,” said CM Sonowal while addressing the people.
“In this auspicious occasion I want to thank all the workers, members of the BJP and hope that this journey will lead towards developmental works for the people,” he added.
It may be mentioned that in February this year Union Home Minister Amit Shah had laid the foundation stone of the party’s State office at Basistha.
