In a spine chilling incident, footage of which might give you goosebumps, the head constable of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) Guwahati risked his life to save a passenger from getting run over by a fast-moving train.
The constable BS Pegu saved a passenger of train no.14055 Dn Brahmaputra Mail from getting run over by a train which was about to be stationed at the platform no 1.
The incident was captured on the CCTV cameras installed at the Guwahati Railway Station. The video was shared on the official Twitter handle of the Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway on August 19th, 2019. Keeping in view of the safety and security measures at the railway station, the NF Railway authorities have urged the passengers to be conscious while boarding a train without making haste.
“ Head Constable RPF Guwahati Shri BS Pegu saved a passenger of train no.14055 Dn Brahmaputra Mail from getting run over on PF No.1. While we salute constable Pegu for his bravery, we appeal to all, not to board or get off a moving train. It may cost you your life,” NF Railway tweeted.
The railway station located in the heart of Guwahati is the first fully solar operated railway station in India. It is rated as A1 category station.
