Students using unfair means during the examination, beware. The candidates of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or Class 10 examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA), caught cheating, carry mobile phones and disobeying invigilators, may face suspension for three years.
The HSLC examination will be held from February 10th to February 29th, 2020. The decision was taken after noticing that incidents of malpractice were being reported from certain centres every year despite repeated warnings that candidates should not indulge in unfair means during exams.
The SEBA officials also informed that for the first time, the invigilator along with two witnesses would check the question papers before the commencement of the exam.
This year, a total of 3,58,446 students are going to appear for the HSLC exam to conducted in 860 centres across the state. The SEBA officials also urged the local organisations to refrain from calling strike during the examination period.
