Hailakandi: Ahead of Independence Day celebrations, a hand-made bomb was recovered from Assam’s South Hailakandi in Jamira village on August 5th, 2019. According to the police, the bomb was recovered near one Jamal Uddin’s residence.

As per information available, the locals of the village spotted the bomb and immediately intimated the police.

It may be mentioned, Barpeta Police on August 4th, 2019 recovered a hand-made bomb.  from one Kamal Uddin’s residence in Sukhowarjhar village. The bomb was kept hidden under a pile of hay.
