Bollywood inger Kanika Kapoor, best known for her party songs Baby Doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, tested positive for the novel coronavirus on March 20th, 2020.
41-year-old Kapoor is the first Bollywood celebrity to test positive for coronavirus. She has been admitted to the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) hospital in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The singer recently returned to Lucknow from London on March 15th, 2020. As per several media reports, she refrained from informing authorities about her travel history.
Upon arriving in Lucknow, the singer had thrown a lavish party at a 5-star hotel for her friends and family which was attended by a large number of bureaucrats, politicians and socialites.
The singer was staying in a posh apartment. Medical officials are now planning to quarantine the entire building where the singer stayed and also subject the guests at the party to tests.
