    Baby Born In Manipur Quarantine, Named Emmanuel Quarantino

    The baby was born on Christian Pentecost Day

    Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a baby boy was born at an Institutional Quarantine Centre in Manipur’s Kangpokpi and the parents named him Emmanuel Quarantino.

    The boy was born to a returnee couple at Emmanuel School in Haipi. Since the boy was delivered on Christian Pentecost Day and the Emmanuel, the parents named him Emmanuel Quarantino.

    The boy’s mother, Anjali Hmangte as per reports delivered the Child immediately after she had bid goodbye to her dying father on Sunday, May 31.

    Kangpokpi district hospital superintendent (in-charge) Dr Paotinlal Haokip speaking on about the child’s delivery had said that the parents of the child arrived in Kangpokpi on May 27 from Goa through the special train and were immediately sent to institutional quarantine. They were given a single room keeping the condition of the mother in mind.

    Their swab samples were taken and results are still awaited but the doctors are positive that they might not be infected of the virus.

    During the delivery of the child, doctors had prepared themselves with full precautions and were geared up with PPE kits.

    The child at the time of birth was 3.2 kilograms and was delivered without any complications. Even the mother did not have any maternal complications.
