    Assam Toll Gates To Reopen On Jan 10. Deets Inside

    The NHAI officials estimate that a total of Rs 60 lakh per day revenue will be collected from the toll plazas

    The officials of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the highway maintenance and regulatory board, have informed that the Raha toll gate and other toll plazas located across Assam will reopen on January 10th, 2020.

    The other toll plazas– Mikrati Hawagaon Daboka-Nagaon on NH-36, Dahalpara on NH 31, Pathgaon on NH 31, Nazirakhat on NH 37 and Madanpur toll gate on NH 31 is also slated to reopen on the same day.

    The NHAI officials estimate that a total of Rs 60 lakh per day revenue will be collected from the plazas and believe that the revenue of toll plazas are important for development and maintenance of the highways.

    In Assam, these toll gates have remained shut due to continuous protests staged by the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti(KMSS), Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad(AJYCP) and other ethnic organizations.
