With an aim to sustain safe cyberspace in Assam, the state government is calling in for suggestions and views from people to incorporate in the newly formed draft of Assam Cyber Security Policy 2019. This was announced by the state government on their official Twitter handle.
The tweet mentioned, “#CyberSecurity The draft of Assam Cyber Security Policy prepared with an aim to ensure, promote and sustain a safe cyberspace for the people of Assam is ready. Send your valuable suggestions/feedback to strengthen the policy.”
The tweet also carried a picture that mentioned that people can send their suggestions in the [email protected] and the last date for submission is September 30th, 2019. The policy is slated to function for five years and the draft policy is available at assam.mygov.in.
This new policy has received a lot of appreciation as many called it a “good initiative” towards saving people from cybercrimes and threats.
A few media reports claim that the Assam government has come up with this new policy to protect vital data related to the National Register of Citizens. The policy will also protect crucial government infrastructure from hackers and respond to cyber threats.
