Christmas seemed to have come early at the Assam Congress headquarters on December 23rd, 2019, with party workers distributing sweets as the trends for the Jharkhand Assembly Elections is going in favour of Congress-JMM alliance.
According to the Election Commission of India, the Congress is leading in 13 seats while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is leading in 25 seats. On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party is trailing with just 25 seats. The Rashtriya Janata Dal is leading in just one seat and AJSU party is leading in two seats.
The JMM has won three seats while the BJP has won three seats so far.
The elections for 81 seats were held over five phases between November 30th, 2019 and December 20th, 2019.
