    Assam Congress Issues Media Dictum For Party Workers: Read Full Notice Inside

    The dictum came after Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi was caught off guard on camera telling Harish Rawat, that the "AICC is notorious for indecisiveness"

    The Assam Congress on November 17th, 2019, has issued a media dictum for the party workers.

    As per the notice, from no onwards, the only APCC notified senior spokesperson; spokesperson and media panellists can address the media and represent the party discussions in various media houses only with prior intimation to state president or chairman of the media cell, APCC. “Except them, no Congress party functionaries or any leader of the party shall speak before the press or give TV Bytes or participate in media as a panellist,” the notice reads.

    The ‘dos and don’ts’ comes after Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi was caught off guard on camera telling AICC in-charge of  the state, Harish Rawat, that the “AICC is notorious for indecisiveness.”

    The notice issued by Bhagirath Karan, chairperson of the APCC media cell, reads as: “Keeping this in mind it is to inform all concerned in the party that only APCC notified senior spokesperson, spokesperson and mod, panellists can address the media and represent the party discussions in various media houses only with prior intimation to President, APCC or Chairman, Media Deptt, APCC. It is requested that all party leaders and members strictly abide by this.”

    Karan further said, “Political party representatives should always highlight the stand of the party they belong, in matters about party policies, demands of the public, different organizations and on the policy matter of the ruling government.
