He also informed that the committee will hold a workers’ meet on January 12th, 2020 in the city. “We hope the committee will be able to bring a revolution with its dedication in the party works,” he added.

Meanwhile, a day after former Assam Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta found the Asom Gana Parishad head office locked, Kalita said that leaders have to take permission in writing to hold a meeting in the office.

“The party did not receive any letter related to organising any meeting in the party head office,” Kalita said while addressing a press meet in Guwahati today.

Talking about the meeting organised by Mahanta on January 7th, 2020, Kalita said, “We heard it in the media that a meeting was held. There were a few AGP leaders present in the meeting. Rest were outsiders. A few party leaders organised the meet as per our information.”

He also said that the party would conduct an enquiry regarding joining of the party leaders in the meeting.
