    7 Indian Navy Personnel With Alleged Pak Links Nabbed On ‘Espionage’ Charges

    The seven of them reportedly fell victim to honey trapping in 2018

    The Andhra Pradesh police informed that they have recently busted a spying racket in the Indian Navy and arrested as many as seven personnel including a hawala operator for passing secret information to Pakistan handlers about the locations of ships and submarines.

    The seven of them were arrested from different locations of Visakhapatnam, Karwar naval base and Mumbai naval base. Sources informed that they were recruited into the force in 2017 and fell victim to honey trapping in 2018.

    According to reports, the spying racket was unearthed in a joint operation–code-named as ‘Dolphin’s Nose’ conducted by Andhra Pradesh Intelligence wing, Central Intelligence agencies and Naval intelligence.

    Sources also informed that the activities of the seven navy personnel were under surveillance for several days by the Intelligence wing before their arrest today.

    The arrested were produced in the court on December 20th, 2019.
