    4 Journalists Attacked In Assam’s Majuli

    A complaint has been lodged with Jengraimukh police in the matter

    In an incident, four journalists of different Guwahati-based media houses received life threat at Major Dewri village in the river island Majuli in Assam. They are Tirtha Bhuyan, Jyotish Kumar Tamuli, Jadumoni Saikia and photojournalist Ridip Bora. Bhuyan is associated with a Guwahati-based regional television channel.

    As per information, the victims were attacked and threatened when they went to cover news about the alleged fund embezzlement in the Deori Autonomous Council. A group of eight persons allegedly attacked the journalist. A complaint has been lodged with the Jengraimukh police in the matter.
