Two women from Nalbari district in Assam who had come in contact with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patient of Guwahati’s Spanish Garden has been sent to quarantine.
The two women were employees of a company owned by the businessman resident of the Spanish Garden.
The patient had visited the company on March 20th, 2020 when he came in contact with the two women employees.
The two women have been shifted to the Nalbari Civil Hospital.
The Kamrup (metro) district administration on April 4th, 2020 barred the entry and exit of any person or vehicle from Spanish Garden for the 14-days.
There are 150 flats in the complex in which a businessman lives with his family. A total of 111 people, with whom he came in contact, have been quarantined to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
The businessman, who hails from Nagaon, stays at flat no. 704, Block-D with his wife and two children. He returned from Delhi on February 29th, 2020 and was tested positive for coronavirus on April 3rd, 2020.
He went self-isolation on March 17th, 2020 after he felt feverish. He has been admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. Health officials said the businessman is recovering well.
