    17-Member Delegation From Bangladesh Reaches Assam’s Karimganj For Bilateral Talks On Border Issues

    In a bid to strengthen the relationship among the bordering districts of Bangladesh with India, a 17-member delegation from the neighbouring nation has come to Assam’s Karimganj district on July 21st, 2019.

    The officials of the delegation will attend the annual conference – Future Tomorrow – to be held in deputy commissioner’s office in Silchar on July 22nd, 2019.

    Speaking to TIME8 over the telephone, the Karimganj DC said, “This is an annual international conference aimed at boosting the relation among the bordering districts of the India and Bangladesh. The conference will cover the burning issues along with the border areas of both the countries – Assam’s Karimganj and Cachar district and Bangladesh’s Moulvibazar and Sylhet.”

    The Moulvibazar DC Nazia Sirin and Sylhet DC M Kazi Emdadul Islam led the delegation. Karimganj DC and Cachar DC Laya Madduri will also attend the conference.
