    1,550 Under Home Quarantine In Hailakandi; 19 Tested Negative

    788 persons who have already completed their stipulated home quarantine period have been under extended quarantine for the next 14 days

    A total of 1,550 persons have been put under home quarantine with 22 quarantined on April 4th, 2020 in Hailakandi district of Assam.

    The results of swab samples of 19 persons sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) have all tested negative for novel coronavirus. 

    District Media Expert, National Health Mission, Monika Das said that out of 27 swab samples sent to SMCH, 19 have turned out to be negative while the results of eight are awaited. 

    788  persons who have already completed their stipulated home quarantine period have been under extended quarantine for the next 14 days, Das informed.

    Meanwhile, Hailakandi Police enforced total lockdown in the district with one vehicle seized and five arrested in the past 24 hours.

    Eight cases have been registered against violators of the lockdown. Rs 27,000 have been realised by way of penalties.
